兩岸和平發展論壇（第11屆國共論壇）2日在北京中國職工之家飯店舉行，分政治、經濟、文化、社會及青年5組討論。洪秀柱下午出席分組論壇，以近2小時旁聽青年和經濟組討論。
洪秀柱會後受訪時說，她5個組都想聽一聽。選擇青年組是因為青年「是我們的希望」，自己一直掛念的就是青年的未來，也在青年組聽了很多年輕人對未來構想及兩岸如何交流的寶貴意見。
至於為何選擇經濟組，洪秀柱說：「大家都知道民生問題，吃飯第一，所以經濟問題很重要。」
她表示，中國大陸的「一帶一路」、「十三五」計畫、自由貿易區和亞洲基礎設施投資銀行（AIIB，亞投行）金融政策支援都是很好的構想，希望兩岸共襄盛舉一起參與。
洪秀柱10月31日飛抵北京時曾說「心是暖的」。被問到北京兩天有何感受，洪秀柱說：「來的時候天冷的、心暖的，現在心是熱的。」1051102
